Garden Wisdom

Many of our Grandmother's lived through the great depression and survived very well before microwaves and refrigerators. So much of that wisdom is being lost every day and it is so important we preserve it as we enter some very difficult times of our own.

There seems to be so much information on gimmick easy gardening on the web that the real world of gardening is lost.

Our mothers and grandmothers had incredible gardens without all the hype. Just plain honest goodness working the earth. Can we find that kind of reality again?

Not if we want the McDonalds version of quick response and immediate gratification gardening. If that is what you want you need to turn to the emptiness of Hydroponics.  Make sure you find links to cancer cure in a pill and anti-depressants for your child as you do though. Our attempt to cheat nature with a quick EZ version is catching up with us and we see the results in our health.

Real food is grown in real earth with real sweat. That is real life and what we should be mentally ready for if we really want to change our lives and our health. Not as popular and not as seductive a buzz word as the easy, quick, no hassle gardening being sold but the real word is work.

So if you are not afraid to do it the old fashion way and grow food the way it was intended to be grown then this is the blog for you.
